Michael Ballack got a last-minute goal and saved
Bayern Munich from a sad defeat. The match against
Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga ended 1-1 on Saturday.
Is important to say that fifth-place Hannover, unbeaten in 11 matches, took a 1-0 lead on
Thomas Brdaric's 56th-minute goal in front of 49,500 spectators.
However, a precise cross by
Willy Sagnol to Michael Ballack, who headed in over two defenders, ensured Bayern's unbeaten streak moved to 15 matches.
"I would have been happy beforehand with a 1-1, but not looking at the whole game and when we are ahead 1-0 that late," Hannover coach Peter Neururer said. "But we learned firsthand why Ballack is the most dangerous midfielder in Europe."
Bayern lost goalkeeper Oliver Kahn in the 51st minute when he bruised his thigh in a challenge on Brdaric. He is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's Champions League match against
AC Milan.
"I'll have to do everything I can to make sure that I can take the pitch pain-free," Kahn said.
